Ok, will two adolescent angel fish and a male betta get along? Someone once told me that her male betta went after the angelfish. She only ever saw the flare and darting at, not actually attacking. This was after they had all been in the tank for two to three weeks. Any ideas?

No, angels and bettas do not mix. You will end up with dead fish. I can't guarantee who will die first, it depends on the aggression level of your betta and size and health of your angels, but someone will end up dead.

When I still had Aros, the angel I've had the longest in my tropical community, I had decided to give Psycho #2 a whirl in that same tank. It didn't last long. If they were bickering with each other then #2 was at the bottom in a corner sulking.
Aros is now in an Angelfish tank and #2 is very happy in a 1g tank.

I would have to say that based on this little experiment of mine that I would recommend against it.
Good luck!

That one is more debatable, Igreenmk. I know some people keep guppies and angels together, but I'm not one of them. My angels are large and feisty and they'd make a quick snack out of a guppy. You have to remember that angels are cichlids and at any given time will display their cichlid temperament by munching down on anything in the tank that fits in their sizable mouths. Even gentle fish are tempted by the lure-like appeal of a guppy's tail. However, you certainly wouldn't be creating the warzone you would have had with a betta and angels together, just a risk that you may lose the guppy.
