hiya ive got 2 African dwarf frogs in my tank. ive also got a lot of breeding guppies and mollies. just wondering if anyone knows if the ADF's will eat the very young guppie fry as ive noticed a serious decline in the past few weeks........

my fry are born in the tank and left to grow up in a load of floating greenry. ive found this works really well and is generally less stressful for the fish than been in a hatchery for a few weeks, also we dont get much loss as the babies are well camoflaged...well until the past couple of weeks anway!!!

Hi,

ADFs have bad eye sight and will lunge at anything that passes by their mouth, if this happens to be a baby guppy then it will be eaten. 2 frogs wouldn't make a dramatic difference to a tank full of guppy babies but the adult guppys and mollys will eat their own young. I have 6 ADFs with my green sword endlers and haven't noticed a big decline in fish.

Emma :)
