Snails! Eek! LOL the only thing w/ snails is they spawn like rabbits!

Ghost shrimp, but bettas have a habit of sometimes eating them. And also, they need iodine to thrive, which shouldn't be in a betta's water. I personally do not like them 'cause they look uggggly.

And I do believe there is a type of snail that do not require another snail to make babeahs. I just don't know what it is. Apple snail maybe?

Yep Apple snails need a male and female unlike the majority of water snails who are hermaphrodite and can do it all by themselves

Just be forewarned - apples snails are very high waste producers, so make sure you have a filter or do very frequent gravel vacs.
