Hi everybody

Just introducing myself,im Mark....
Taking delivery of my first ever tank in the next few days.
my daughter (10) talked me into getting involved in tropical fish.
Done some research on the net and came across this forum, hoping to
learn from some of your knowledge.

Read the fishless cycle post and will be going that way.
Let you know how it all goes.

:hi:

I have a 10 & a 12 year old myself and they are both really into fishkeeping. It's nice to have a hobby we can share and I'm sure you'll find the same with your daughter. You've definitely found the right place here!

Welcome,

i am mid way into a fishless cycle on my 2nd tank and it is going well, I did a cycle with fish 5 weeks ago and lost nearly all of my fish and i now treating them for all kinds of illness.

The hardest thing is finding pure ammonia for a fishless cycle..i found mine in a little local chemist, or some people say you can get it in bigger stores of Boots.

One of my son's is ten 2 and he loves everything about fish. It really is a rewarding hobby.

yeah getting the ammonia was a bit difficult,i read in the forum that people
were finding that a challenge.

I found a place on the net where you can order it,havent got it yet,but if
it turns out to be ok,ill post the link for anyone who may wanna get it that way.

Some people use fish flakes instead, but to be honest, i never tried that way. ( some people use frozen prawns, again im not experienced enough, but if u ask, im sure someone will point u in the rite direction :)
