My 1st ever longfinned Bns have arrived from Ev Aquatics, an Albino Female & 2 young Calicos

Am guessing there care is exactly the same just no sharp edges that may damage there fins? *no worries of that as my Bettas are in the same tank*

Ev Aquatics are really good. that where i get my food from, did you go down there or get delivery? their tanks are pristine. Good healthy fish and a good range too. its not far from Wharfs Aquatic and a hell of a lot cheaper too

Sadly delivery, would love to go there though :D

If you have both sexes in your threesome, then you should be aware that bristles like "rough sex". The will end up with some raggy looking fins as a result. I have kept and bred them for about a decade. The only way I could maintain show quality fins was to keep them solo or females only and then never with other fish that tend to nip fins.

I am not a huge betta person, especially spendens,. But I believe males can be fin nippers with anything that has long flowing fins. Perhaps a better betta person can verify this.

There in with my female bettas so less nippy and taking no attention to them at all :) they've all settled well, there's the odd fin tear from the other BNs and sorting dominance out but its on the mend already :)
