hello
after a lot of thinking, i have decided not to go for the zebra.... too special and i dont feel brave enough to care for such a wonderful fish.
so... i took a trip out, book in hand and an idea of the best fish for my new tank.
my short list was either a bulldog or a bristlenose. spent an hour looking at the many tanks and couldnt find either! so went to ask for assistance from the chap in the shop.
explained i wanted a dwarf pleco, pretty and idealy either a bristlenose or a dwarf but was sad to see they didnt have any.... he went on to show me a tank full of cichlids with a handful of tiny bristlenoses!
they are so pretty, i got 3! theyare about an inch long and have wonderful markings... i hope out of the 3 i will have a pair to breed with.
they have all settled in well after a 2 hr acclimatisation process ( took a while as i wanted them to have the best chance in the new tank) They are feeding well on the algae (been saving cleaning the glass for them) and seem to like surfing on the current in the tank!
am a very happy baby bristlenose owner!
