My tank has finally finished cycling! :yahoo: It's been a long three weeks, but the wait is finally over. Unfortunately, because I'm having a hard time locating fish I want -_- it could be another week or possibly two before I finally add some fish. I was wondering if I could go ahead and add some Shrimp to the tank. Do they produce enough ammonia to keep my established bacteria alive? Or am I better off just continuing to add ammonia to my tank until I get my fish?

Shrimp produce very little bio-load unless you have a lot, though as far as I'm aware of once you bacteria is established as long it stays in your tank water it's not going to go away.

No, you need to keep up adding you ammonia solution on a daily basis until you are ready to stock. Shrimp produce very little waste and your bacteria will die off quickly if they don't have a regular source of food.
