180 Babies !

....180 three week old babies just moved to a 48 x 18 x 15 tank. Only used the existing water plus 2 gallons of fresh so it's about 6" deep at the moment....i'll add more fresh each day.

But is that a lot of fry ?.....seems to be and this was a first spawning for me !!!

How did you count all them? lol, must have taken a while to move them over.

Just moved them all by catching with a net and putting them in a container then moving (and counting) small quantities at a time as i put them in their new tank

What tail types will they be.

If they are halfmoon then i might have one.

haven't got a clue mate....red veil tail male and a "normal" red/blue female. Some of the babies are dark and some very pale indeed so it looks like a right mishmash

It's my first spawning so i haven't got into line breeding yet...but i'll get there.

wow 180 god good luck with them,

When they start to gain colour get some picys up

I'm guessing "normal" is probably a female VT. Could be a chance that it's a plakat but probably not. The fry are most likely VT's.

And anyone of the following could be the mum....do you know what types they are except the double/split tail

And as promised....a pic of the babies. There's a lot of little ones which are very pale coloured and a few darks

Wow, CONGRATS! You're definitely going to have your hands full, lol. The females all looked like VTs to me, except for the DT of course, so you should end up with all VTs. They should be some gorgeous little buggers. Keep us posted.
