A local store has some of these guys and they are everything you could want in a small fish. They have had them for at least sixty days that I know of and they are always a dark red with a black midstripe down each side near the lateral line. They seem to be hard to sell at $15.00 each when most other pencil fish run around $2.75 to $3.25.
