my tank is 2x1x1 which is 12 gal (uk), i was wondering could i have any corals in the standard 15 watt bulb that came with the tank

If i cannot have any corals with this lighting, what corals could i have with a 36 watt bulb which i may upgrade ot if i need to.

Truthfully I don't think you can have any coral with 15 watt lighting. It is way too low to keep anything alive. A 36 in my opinion is also pretty low, but I think you could get away with mushrooms or polyps.

You could also have azooxanthellate corals such as sun polyps and certain Alcyonium. Heavily fed Protopalythoa may survive as well.

yes you can, size of the tank doesnt matter, its the type of the light and positioning of the corals that matter. If people can keep lps in 9 watt PC lights, i dont see why you cant keep hardy soft corals. Problem is the corals would have to be pretty high up.
