Hi,

After a 1 years break from Tropical fish keeping, I have decided to set up a new tank. My new house does not have room for my Rio 180 :-( so have found a niCe little space for my 24 x 12 x 18 inch tank. I have been researching different kinds of fish but really would love to go for a Marine tank. I did consider it just before a packed my tropical tank up, but due to relocation etc I just never got round to it - until now (maybe) Would this tank be ok for a first timer? I am fasinated by the clown fish and a few crab like creatures and maybe a bit of coral. Do you people think it would be crazy and unfair to the fish to keep in this size tank? if so, any marine fish recomendations for this tank? or do you think I should stay tropical? I have kept tropical for a number of years and really fancy marine.

Thanks guys / gals

Since your facisnated with clownfish you can get them. And for a crabby creature why not a hermit crab, or if your looking for another alternative try a sally lightfoot. A 15gallon is considered a nano tank which is harder to keep your parameters stable. But if you want to go through with it then I would suggest the following for your livestock list.

1.A pair of clownfish
2.Another small fish.

But before that you will need to go through the steps of getting your tank setup with the neccesary stuff.

Read the pinned topics in the nano section to help you get started. This link should help you get started with the equipment and cycle.
