Hi there everyone,

I'm currently cycling a 15 gallon (24" long x 12" x 12") and would really like to have some Corydoras in addition to something else (maybe Tetras or Danios?)

I'm mainly interested in the Corydoras. Would this tank be big enough to fit any of the species, and if So, which variety and how many? What would you add in addition to the Corydoras?

Thanks

But yes Tetris work well and make sure to have at least 6 corydoras they get insecure otherwise

So the footprint of my tank being 24" long and 12" wide, while still only being a 15 gallon, will be sufficient for 6 Corydoras?

Pictures of my leopard corys also called false julli
Super fun and playful fish

No they are housed with a betta ,but I have paired them with tetras before ,despite the cute exterior they do put up a bit of a fight when threatened, the cave is to give them a place to hide if the tetras do attack

Remember all Tetras are related to Piranhas. All Barbs are related to Goldfish.

Hi, welcome to the forum :)
Can you tell us your water parameters? We need GH, pH and temperature.
Also what substrate do you have and how have you cycled the tank?
Thanks

Hi there. I'm currently doing a fishless cycle; still early on in the process, so I thought it best to use this time to figure out exactly which fish species would suit this kind of tank.

Ya definitely for the dwarf species I mentioned no problem
Reason I'm asking is I read quite a few comments claiming "minimum 20 gallon" for these Corydoras. Is that because they are assuming that the 15 gallon aquariums are not 24" long?
