1-How many?

Preferablly 6 or more but at least 4 since they are social grouping fish. And 15G is big enough to have them 6 or more. If you have dwarf cory, you can even have 12.

2-What types?

Pretty much open for any corys except Brochi and Super Arcuatus since they get little bigger than rest of the Corydoras. And check the water parameter and hardiness of the species because not all of them have exact ly same water parameter/care requirement.

3-compatability?

Similar sized peaceful middle top leveled fish is ideal tankmate if their water parameter requirement is similar.

4- if i wanted anyother fish or shrimps, what would be best?

I have kept the Corys with small Tetras like Neons, Glowlights and Lemon Tetras and they get along fine. Just make sure the top and middle feeder does not get all the food and cory get some food also.
I also kept hatchetfish with them. And now all the Cory tank have Cherry Red Shrimps and they can coexist. Although I am not so sure about the shrimplets since they are not much bigger than baby brine shrimps. And I'm sure the cory would eat BBS. So I usually move the mother shrimp with eggs to my other tank before the shrimp hatch. Then again, they multiply fast enough, they are spreading to many tanks. I also have some pleco such as oto and bristlenose with cory so far they are fine although my bristlenose is still half their adult size and some grow up to do. But I read they should be fine as long as give them enough space and hiding spots for all.

And please make sure the tank is properly cycled before add some group of fish. Most of the corys are peaceful interesting fish and they would make good tankmate for other similar sized peaceful fish. :good:

1-How many?
I would say around 5-8 would be a nice number depending on what else you had you could vary it to be lower of higher if you wanted. I would say at least 5, I don't know why I like 5 more but for me it just looks better and works nicer than 4 but that is just me and my preference, I am sure 4 would be alright too.

2-What types?
I personally have kept pandas, peppereds, albinos, and some other species that I can't remember the name of right this second. Anyway, all types of cories are nice and have similar habits but my favorite overall and probably one of the cheapest as well was the albino cory cats. I think they have a lot of personality and don't seem to be as skiddish as some of the other species are sometimes. A nice little group of them looks really nice. I remember when I had around 6 of them along with a couple of random cories of different species and they all stayed together and looked good. If you wanted, you could even have say 4 albinos and 4 of another species. It is probably better to have one species but if you decide to have two species they won't fight and will most likely stay in a large group. Worse case scenario would be that you have two smaller groups seperated by species. That is your call though.

3-Compatability?
Cories do well with most anything but middle to top level fish would be best.

4-If I wanted anyother fish or shrimps, what would be best?
There are many species of tetras which look good and have similar requirements as cories such as neons, phantoms, etc. Also, angelfish and some types of gouramis work well with them.

Hope I helped and have fun with whatever type of cory cats you decide to buy. They are some of my most favorite fish that I have kept.
