Almost all of them can be kept in pairs. Depending on the species they may have different needs, most like the same water quality but some are far larger than splendens so obviously they'd need bigger tanks. I don't recommend anything smaller than 10 gallons for a pair of wilds no matter what the species. Most won't take anything but frozen or live, and some will only take live.

I think the first pair of wilds that are good to start w/ is smaragdinas.
