Oh that would have totally freaked me out if I found that in my machine!

On the other hand, I would just like to take a moment to drool over your top loading machine. I miss mine :-( we don't have them in England, they're all front loaders.

He is very cute. I would have wanted to keep him.

BTW Suzie - you can get top loaders over here as my ex's mum had one. They are just not easy to find!

 That is a very cute possum. I just love all the cute little wild critters. We were fortunate enough to see a gorgeous hedgehog last night. Good on you releasing him.

We had a parrot a few years ago, and the only thing that was lured into the house was a huge, nasty rat. It was trying to bite him and he was squealing like mad (that was when we still lived in South Africa). It was pretty wild outside, so we had all sorts of animals running around. But only the rat was brave enough to come inside. It wasn't cute either, pretty vicious.

ha, that's a young possum too cuz i doubt whatever that was you used to grab it wouldn't have been so handy with a full grown, angry, trapped adult. Though maybe you'd have gotten lucky and it would have played dead. We had one do that once. The dog caught it up by the tail and was slamming it against the screen door (boxers can be very protective...and creative  ). We thought it was dead so my mom threw it over the fence. The minute that possum hit the ground it took off running.

"Aaw" and "Eew"  Too adorable. What a funny curious little thing.

It is cute, glad it back in the wild.

I rescued one from our swimming pool in Miami once. Delightful creatures (note heavy sarcasm). Played dead on me. I'm like "Yeah, not working buddy, I know you're still alive." Sure enough, it gave up and started screaching "bloody murder". Released it close to our house. They keep insect populations down, especially the giant cockroaches we get there. Now that is gross, a 3.5" long cockroach, not kidding. Oppossums get HUGE! My mom and I waited for one to cross the road once. Now that was an ROUS (Rodent of Unusual Size), if I ever saw one.

Miami isn't safe at night... -_-

we had an opossum in a trash can once in my mom's garage. mean lil dude, but so cute. we named him Herbie... lol the human society came and got him for us as my mom wouldn't let us try to release him (she was afraid he'd bite us... I was only 8)

lol, we had packrats living in a dryer we had in storage. Had to catch them cause of the cats. A full grow packrat can and usually will take down a cat if it can. Nasty devils.

Awww, they're so cute when they're little, but hideous when full grown

I once missed a water change when I was raising a spawn of bettas in the storage room of our garage because one of those suckers was camped out right beside the storage room door and would hiss if I tried to walk past it :|
