hi,

i've recently purchased a opti-white 12"x8"x8" nano tank, with a aqua one clearview 100 filter and arcadia arc pod light (9w). I have bought some JBL Proflora starter set and JBL Manado substrate. I would like to get your advice on 'carpeting' plants and other smaller grasses, mosses and ferns suitable for this tiny tank.I have not decided on my CO2 source yet.

i have only planned to introduce a few shrimp to this tank but just out of interest is there any small fish suitable for this tank when it is heavily planted (i would be willing to buy a heater IF i went down this route)

thanks in advance

Don't tell the betta section. With good filtration and strict maintenance, I have kept the smaller boraras species successfully in a tank a little smaller than that. Other possibilities include pygmy catfish and Dario dario.

Many chose to dose liquid CO2 in tanks this small. I have achieved good stability with fermentation. Others will use pressurized. It depends on your budget. However, I really think you should sort out this first, rather than the plants.
