I am just teetering into trying a nano. I just got a 12 gallon tank and I have the 20 lbs. of live sand down already. Once I get some live rock I will move my Domino Damsel into the tank. I decided to try this project because he is getting too aggresive with my angels and tang and he is a tough cookie. 
Plus its not fair to the angels or tang to keep him in the 55, nor is it fair to give him up to the 20" Panther Grouper at the LFS just because he is acting like a damsel!!! So he now is getting his own pad.
He wont get as stressed as many other fish over the water quality. I will post some pics on the board when I get the rock in a few days.
I am only trying this because I was successful for now over a year with my 55 gallon and a month or two with my 28. Even with that, I am nervous to try anything smaller than the 12. I hope I can pull it off.
