10l Project Tank

Ive kept tropicals for awhile now and after a series of unfortunate events me and my girlfriend split up. She kept my tank as a way to kick me in balls so now im living with my dad again in a tiny room. I resently brought a small 10l goldfish bowl and a shabunkin (sorry about spelling), a oxygen plant and with the "advice" from pets at home I got a small filter. Just wondering how many more fish I could possabily put in there, if any at all, and the possabilities of one day making it a species tank. Maybe a Betta with the right heater.

Any info will be greatly apperciated.

Uh oh, a shub in a 10l tank. Ignore pets at home, they talk crap. That fish needs at least 100l IMO.
You need to take the fish back and get 4 minnows, or a much much larger tank.
Sorry thats not what you want to hear but never ever buy from a fish shop without researching first cuz they just want the sale!
It would be fine for a betta though, but being no expert on them I will allow someone else to add to that...

Yeh I thourght the same thing to begin with but even my dads assured me that the shub will be ok and I will only grow as big as the tank. Which I really dont agree with because it just makes me think of those people that grow cats in glass bottles. Its crulty.

Hopefully in the next few weeks me and my dad are going to get a larger coldwater tank set up in the living room because ive sparked my dads buzz for fish keeping again. Lol. And im hoping people will agree the the 10L tank will be big enough for keeping a Betta provided I add a heater as ive kept one before but had to get rid of it because he was attack my neons and guppys. That will teach me for not doing my reserch first.

Ummm in a sick way your dads right, it will only grow as big as the tank but thats called stunting, where the body stops growing but the internal organs dont so they end up getting crushed lungs etc and suffocate/starve to death over a long time which is evil!
So yeah dads right but in a cruel way. Just buy a mini heater from Ebay for a fiver, take the fish back and swap it for a betta which would be perfectly happy. Feel better for getting that off my chest!
(btw soz bout the girlfriend thing-us women can be nasty. Ask my ex and his beloved car lol)

Lmao, dont worry about it. She was a psyco who always had to try and have the last laugh. Ive had worse.

But yeh, I dont thik she shop will swap it back. Besides when I got the shub he was being bullied in his shop tank, hence why I got him. Kept telling me the sub would be fine and I could even fit more fish in the 10L!

I think my new girlfriend is going to take him off me because her dad has a rather big tank that the shub would love. So may move back onto Tropicals. Im quite attached to the shud though. My girlfriend named him Fishy Wishy Nemo Squishy. Lmao!
