10g female community

It finished 2 days ago, and after doing waterchanges to get rid of the high nitrate levels, I have started adding my females a couple hours apart, along with some pigmy corries. Had some flaring done by only one of the girls so far. All the others seem to be getting along so far. The one that did all the flaring seems to be the most agressive one in there. She has been chasing them on and off through out the day as I added them, so I guess I know who's gonna be the boss! It's funny too, cause I thought she was the least agressive of the 5! Little trickster!!

My female community only has 3 in at the moment and they have finally settled into a pecking order. No more nipped fins and they spend quite a bit of time together now.

I have 2 more girls in quarantine that will be added this weekend so am expecting all hell to break loose for a few days while they sort themselves out again

Just have lots of hiding places and plants to break the line of vision. It seems to be working for me anyways.

Well, unfortunatly, as my girls were getting their pecking order down, one of them got a little too beat up and ended up dying. It sucks too cause it happened while I was at work so I couldn't catch it in time to get her out of there. little girl.

Me too. There is only 4 now, and I want to add a couple more, but I don't want them to have to go through it all over again. Maybe if I add 2 at once it won't be so bad.
