105 Gallon Oceanic Tank: New Pics

Here is my 105 gallon oceanic tank. It is 48"x18"x28". It contains an oscar, convict, and firemouth. It is filtered with two aquaclear 110's, and one eheim 2217. I have a 250 and 200 watt visi-therm stealth heater giving me 450watts of heater power. The stand is stained cherry and made out of oak. The tank contains some plastic plants, driftwood, and dark blueish grey stones. I have a black background waiting to go on.

The first pic is pretty bad, I just wanted to give a full tank shot.

Looks nice, maybe put in a few tall plants when the fish get bigger.

Yeah I actually have a black background ready to go on the tank. I will probably do it when I move the tank upstairs.

Your tank looks great. It is tempting me to go and get another tank so i can get a pair of oscars. I had a pair in an 100 gallon years ago. Great fish. Anyways, be careful moving that tank upstairs. Be sure that the flooring in your house/apartment that is under the tank can support the total weight of your tank over the years. Your tank weighs alot as you know. I wanted my 135 upstairs but couldn't since the floors looked like they wouldn't be strong enough to support all that weight year after year.

Again, Nice tank. That background will make it look even better.

Thanks Yeah the tanks in my basement right now, and I just have to get around to contacting a structrual engineer. The problem with having the tank in the basement is there is no nearby tap so when I use the python to vacume and refill the tank I have to refill it from a hoze outlet that is right outside the window, giving me pretty cold water.


Oh and the other two fish are a firemouth and convict.

The firemouth actually is supposted to be the least aggressive of all the fish I have, but it actually is the most agressive. Its doesn't mess with my oscar, but it challenges my convict sometimes, but usually its nothing more than a flaring match.

As for adding more fish, I was considering a severum but have got mixed opinions on whether I'm fully stocked or not.
