Can I keep any Cichlids in a 10 gallon (48litre) tank??
My LFS told me I could keep a few small Dwarf Cichlids in there temporarily as they'd take a while to grow, which gives me a chance to get a bigger tank later down the line - but I dont trust their advice too much!

At the moment I have 3 Albino Corys (very small size) and a Betta.
Am I better off giving the Betta away before getting any cichlids or danios?

The tank seems empty with the single Betta TBH.
Was thinking of giving the Betta to my nephew to put in his tank, and then getting some cichlids - I want fish that actually swim around! I had a group of tetras that just stayed up the back and didnt move around at all, so were not interesting to look at, hence I returned them!

I would keep the betta add some neons or another small schooling fish. Get active 20 gal for a dwarf cichlid. I personally think that a 10 gal is too small for cichlids even the small ones. Maybe one Apistogramma but a pair need more space. Many pairs will fight from time to time and the more space the better.
