10 gal tank

I have two fan tail and a red eye tetra in the same tank i got them fro free from a lady who had all of them in the same tank which was ten gallons. I was wondering how you would be able to sex teh fantails? One is much fatter than the other could it maybe be going to lay eggs?

A goldfish rule is 10gal per fish then that's not really big enough as they need space to swim, you will have to think of maybe getting a bigger tank, as the filter in that tank will not cope with the waste, as goldfish are big waste producers,I will leave a link to sexing goldfish then you will no if it is going to lay eggs.

I can't find an anal hole on either of them. So ohh well. One of them is much fatter than the other. is why i was asking.

Does the tummy area look bloated, can the fish maintain it's balance in the water, it dosn't tip over in the water does it, do scales stick out like a pinecomb, what does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet,what do you feed the fish.

Also can you post test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, to see if the tank is coping with the fish.
