Everyone else does this and I like reading the different opinions on the subject so here goes. I have a 10 gallon all ready to go with decorations

1. Log stump with lots of hidey holes
2. Gravel substrate
3. Sand stone stacked in various ways and some decent looking artificial plants

I think it looks like a river bottom or lake perhaps but what do I know I'm not a fish.

So what should I stock it with?

Thanks in advance for your replies

Hi chaotica2010 :)

Hmmmm.......

How about 3 corys for the bottom, a betta for the top and a small school of glowlight tetras for the middle?

It would be a shame not to have corys since they would love all the nooks and crannys the rocks and decorations provide. :D

I really try not to tell other people what to get - there are so many hcoices, and everbody has different tastes. Get off you're butt and start researching! :D

AHAHAHAHAHAHA I am in the middle of finals gimee a break I barely know where I live this time of year. Thanks for the motivational speech though :kira:

well, you have so many choices. i've asked the same questions myself. one route to take is just to ask in general "what do you keep in YOUR ten gal tank?" might give you some ideas. i have lyretail mollies and cory cats in my one ten. going to do a tetra tank next (bloodfins, serpaes, and one other maybe, plus more of my loves, the cory cats). livebearers are great. you might be able to do a couple of shell dwellers (african cichlids) but i'm not sure in that tank size. a dwarf gourami and some school of something might be nice.
do you want colorful fish or fancy finned fish, fish to fill it or fish with distinct personalities (schooling fish versus loner types)?

Hi chaotica2010 :)

You have a great sense of humor! I think that was a very gracious response to such a rude and unnecessary post.

If you are not planning a career as a diplomat, perhaps you should.

Ok I got it stocked

4 silver hatchett tetras
2 african dwarf frogs
6 cories (they are really small the guy said they only get up to about 1 inch)
2 black mystery snails.

Everyone seeems to be loving life.

Oh and I picked up a brown knife for my 55 gallon. He goes well with the Dojo Loaches.

If I get some pics of the 10 gallon online anytime soon I will post em for your perusal.
