uv light algea

I have the tetra 105 liter fish tank but i am finding if i have the light on for more than 5 hours my plants glass heater and filter is getting covered in algee anyone had this problem and could tell me of a bettwr light or a fix to get for this thank you

Hi, I read you can buy uv filters that kill algae, my brother has a black light, like the type you see in nightclubs, do these also kill algae or are they a totally different frequency? Only asking because of a big algae bloom in the pond! I'm going to do some water changing over the coming...
