Celestial Pearl Danios and Congo Tetras - good idea or not?

Hello everyone, newbie here ^_^ I've never had fish before and I want to make sure I do things right. I have finished cycling both a 55g main tank and a 10g quarantine tank. The main tank is pretty well planted with all kinds of anubias, tiger lotus, various stem plants, baby dwarf tears etc...

    Lone tetra

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and looking from some advice. I have a lone tetra in a 30L freshwater tropical tank. He has been on his own for probably about a year now. I had 6 of them in there but in time (5 years or so) the other 5 died and with lockdown and the rest of it, I didn't get a...

3 Guppies dead, is this a disease?

So two nights ago I realized that one of my guppies had died. I didn’t see anything wrong and I figured that it was just of old age or something since he was an old fish. Then another one died and another! I have recently added two new lamp-eye tetras (in addition to my one already in the tank)...

    Sick fish?

Hi all, I have a 20 gallon tank with 5 Tetras, a couple catfish, a pea puffer, 2 loaches and a pleco. One of my tetras has started to swim back and forth while moving it’s tail rapidly in an almost vertical position. At first I thought it was bloat or swim bladder issue so I didn’t feed for a...

    So Serpae Tetras...

Ever since we added two serpae tetras, they have been very happy fish. However, we noticed that the smaller tetra (not THAT much smaller, maybe like a millimeter or two) started hiding a lot and began having trouble swimming. Many people online assumed that it might just be dying, however it’s...

    Cardinals hiding?!

Hi, I have a new tank with Cardinal Tetra's. They seem very happy, playful and feed well. However, when it comes to water changes it becomes an absolute disaster. A few of them decide to bury themselves in the media and get stuck. On this occasion I had no choice but to remove them all from the...

    Silvertip Tetra- Behaviour question

Hi All! Recently (Approx 2.5 months ago) I introduced six Silvertip Tetra into my (new) community tank, they live alongside Paul (BN), 10 Neon Tetra & 8 Raspboros. They've all been living very happily but the last few days one of the silvertips is in my opinion acting a little weird. This...

What are my fish doing? Help?

Is this a mate dance or a hate dance? Only had Betta fish before. I don't want my fish killing each other (or making more fish, honestly my tank isn't big enough for that)

    One fish is acting weird.

I recently bought some white skirt tetras and one of them is swimming all around very fast up and down the tank. I was wondering if this is odd behavior because she is the only one doing it. Is this normal? And if not what should I do to help her?
