I rinsed the dirt before putting it in and it sat in the tank for a day till I started aqua scaping. I put plastic over the substrate to hopefully not disturb but my fear came true and I created mud.

Santa brought me a 29 gallon kit after a 6 year hiatus. Last 50 was saltwater and decided to go live planted, freshwater tank with dirt. Cycle is coming along and building bacteria as I remember. Tests are good and tank clearing up daily. Placed 3 Tiger Danios and 2 Apple Snails to help. Tetra...
