As the titles says, I'm strugging cleaning the cannister filter hoses. We don't even have a hose cleaner here :/

Hi, I was wondering about cleaning cannisters filter. Everytime I pull the Intake/outtake hoses out of the tank, I almost flooded my place! Also how do clean the hoses? @NCaquatics

I have a 58 a litre tank and currently have a Fluval u2 but am upgrading to a ehiem classic 250 as the water quality was poor and had caused illness I am just wondering will the flow be to strong and if so is there a way I can limit it?
