betta fish care

i was just trying to take some pictures of my betta, harry, and i noticed this spot on him. i can’t tell if this red spot on his body is part of his coloring, or missing scales. any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated:) the photo with the spot circled is from today, the other picture...

hi! recently i’ve noticed my twin tail half moon betta’s (his name is sidon!) fins look a bit more rugged than usual? i want to prevent any fin rot so i would like to know what the best products are to prevent this i’d appreciate any help! :thanks:

So I have a super delta betta in a heated 4 gallon planted tank with a functioning low flow filter. Water parameters are great: pH of 7.0-7.2 (which I know is pretty high but I've heard that having a stable pH is better than chasing a specific level of pH), 0 ppm for ammonia, nitrites and 5-10...

I've just decided to try my luck with bettas again after not having an aquarium for several years. Today I came home to find a weird mark on my betta's head and want to be sure I diagnose the issue properly so that I can get Ruthie back to good health.    Tank Facts >6 gallon Marineland pillar...
