Helferi's a bit hard to come by in my area. I could try to get a LFS to special order it in, but they told me straight up they'd charge me a ridiculous price. Do you think dwarf hairgrass would grow decently under the super low light environment that I have?

The light is a 20w aquaglow bulb. I think its quite dark as well, although i'm not quite sure if theres a higher wattage 24" bulb available...

Thanks! I think all I need to be happy with how it looks now is a bit of a carpet. Does anyone have any low light carpet plants in mind? The leopard bush fish get around 6" in the wild, but in aquaria 5" is already considered large. Cheers :thumbs:

So I ended up moving everything around and this is what I came up with. I think its better than before, but any suggestions/criticism is welcome.

I found some decent quality plants today and plonked them into my tank. I need some help with the arrangemnt of it though, it looks super unnatural and its an eyesore atm. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers in advance.

Okay...so there's been mixed experiences with multiples of this fish. If this was your own 33g tank, would you risk putting 2 of them together? Or just go with the proposed stocking from my last post?

I've tried bloodworms, whiteworms, flakes, sinking carnivore tablets, cut up earthworms, cut up mealworms, brine shrimp. I'll try feeding him before lights out...maybe that'll help. He's shy to the point he hides whenever I walk up to the tank and doesn't come out for at least 2 minutes.

I'm planning on 2 ABF in the tank as well. I already ordered them in. Just waiting on my lfs. I think I'd be pretty much fully stocked with 2ABF and the leopard bush fish, you think the leopard bush would start eating once it gets some tankmates? Edit: tank size is 36"x16"x12"

Went out to look for plants I like, but came back empty handed. Didn't see anything in the lfs that looked very healthy or nice. They told me I could special order some in if I liked, but no names of any nice looking plants came to mind. I'm starting to think I'm writing this journal for myself...
