Well, I finally drilled my tank. It was a worry and stressful lol but i did it. I drilled it in the bottom corner and will create a weir so no fish can get sucked in. Will upload some pics soon.

Yeah thanks Greg. I have followed instructions from someone building this. I have a check valve (yet to be installed) My pipe is 32mm which i believe is 1 and a half inches. Hoping it will be enough. I dont have a return pump as of yet. Any ideas on which one i would need like GPH. Thanks.

Well the Nitrates from the mixed water from the shop are 0ppm, Sorry i wasnt clear about that. And i have always done my test on the tank just before i change the water, So i am guessing after i change the water the Nitrates go down and then when i check again through the week there back up...

Thanks Donya, I believe the Nitrate readings are 20ppm. I have the colour chart to match. It has been like this for some time. I did the same test on the salt water from the lfs and it was 0ppm. I have just changed 20% of the water as i removed a few things. I will re check tomorrow night.
