I started 86 degrees with 2 tbsp of salt per five gallons basically on the 4th of april, so far all spots have dissappeared on the cichlids and they are swimming nicely, catfish seem ok too, the plecos however are covered in small spots that kinda look ilke ich but have more of a brownish tint...

Did a big water change today, probably 95% and now the nitrates are showing what i'd consider betw 0-5ppm.

Tap is 0-5ppm, i tested outside tap again to see if kit was working, seems to be. I just cant believe that water change didnt drop it a single bit! Man this sucks.

Finally had zero nitrite and 160 nitrate yesterday

I did a 30-40% water change today, see if that helps the process at all, seemed like my ph was starting to drop from 8.2 to 7.8.

Still going through 4ppm of ammonia in three hrs, nitrites are still green off the charts, and nitrates are still sitting at 5-20ppm. Nitrites have been this way for over two weeks, i'm on day 24 now I believe. Guess I get to keep waiting on them to drop lol I want fishies! :P

I'm doing ammonia every 12 hrs, i think ive decided nitrites are for sure off scales and its possible that my well water had the 20ppm of nitrates from the start, i never tested it and havnt had time today to try it. I think i'm just gonna wait a few more days and see what goes on before doing...
