It was old tank water. But I think I was too rough with it. Been to abyss. I've got some powder for anti fungus, dose the whole tank up daily it says. And some pro bacteria cycle aid stuff. Both should help :)

They're both the same. They chase each other. They live in my fluval edge with a male Betta, ten neons and three shrimps. The Betta never goes near them, ever, but they do nip each other equally. The bigger tank has a Betta, and four blue neon guppies, but it's 165 litres so plenty of space :)...

Ben, had him nearly a year now Bill, arrived yesterday. I assume he's also male due to tail length. He's a mix of white through purple and blue to red, depending in the light angle. I'm not sure what species they are. Any help?

24 hours in, ammonia and nitrite are now 0.25ppm. Doing a water change as I type this and adding more conditioner. I'll test every 24 hours. Fish are happy still. Happier than yesterday :)

I am cycled, my ammonia and nitrite are dropping back to 0 quickly. I'm not sure how much the filter can handle in bio load, so I'm doing regular checks and changes. I have a plumbed in system for draining and filling via a hose and I have plenty of water conditioner in.

The tank is 24" cubed. People have said about bettas and guppies, but my other male Betta and two rainbow guppies have lived happily together for almost a year now without incident. The rams are expensive, so not for a while!
