i seem to have brown algea on the glass in my tank i read that this means that brown algea means the tank is not balanced. i have balanced my aquarium out now and everrything is perfect! can i use a toothbrush to scrape the algae off the sides. i mean a new 1 not like 1 i will be using lol

i have 8 fish and 2 shrimps. well when you put the food in it like moved the food in circles but it didnt do it all of a sudden so i put my filter up 2 break the water i have broken the water and the food seems to be moving again but not the same as it were. how long will it take for the oxygen...

ive checked my heater and it is the right temp it as always been they fish seem to stay near the heater so it cant be the heater but i will try the filter thing thanks!! :D

i have a fish tank and i have had it for about 3 weeks and all of a sudden my fish are stayin at the top even my mountain shrimps! my mum said that there is no oxygen in the tank thats why they are staying at the top of the tank for air. i have a filter but no plants my filter sounds like it is...

I am going to ther pet shop tomorrow to get some anti chlorine for my tank the only problem is i think there is too much chlorine in becuase i can see bubbles on the artificial plants! will my fish be ok until i get a chlorine treatment?

so i cant use an ice cream tub then 2 keep the fry in? im gettin a tank for fry only but it will need to cycle and everything else so what do i do now becuase my guppy looks like she is going to explode in the next to days!! :D

I read a thing on the internet and it said 'Use a Tupperware or ice cream container if you are short on tanks when fry are born' i dont get this becuase dont they need a heater to keep the water the right temp? can you keep the fry in an ice cream tub or what? Thnxs for your help! :nod: :nod:

we was going to get some treatment today this morning but when i woke up the fish was dead with no tail at all but i am going gettin some cure for the tank anyway coz the disease spreads doesnt it?

my white mollie has the disease fin rot and its tail its like really rotting and is looks really bad im getting something for it on saturday. if i managed to cure it would the tail stay the same as it is or will my fish just die? plz help p.s im always asking questions lol sorry :rolleyes:

when you put salt into the tank i know how much and everything but do you need to buy a special salt like an aquarium salt of do you just put ordinaery salt in like wat you eat? this probably sounds a daft question i just need to know.THNXS ;)

no i dnt know about the nitrate and that lot i havnt got the tests yet but the supplier where i got my fish tank and fish from tested the water and said it was fine. i have bin feeding them about 2 flakes per fish 3 times a day i got the fish on saturday and i got the tank the saturday before...
