if they are the same species, but just a mutation, you will have wild colour rams, unless one of the mutations is a dominant phenotype (not likely). if they are a different species, i don't recommend it

pretty simple really- i had to clean some wood for one of my snakes. i thought it would just boil through clear, but nope. i got very hot, tea-like water. bottled it up and it's now cooling. anyway... do i need to add a tap safe sort of product or does boiling it eliminate bad things?/ thanks

you need to buy a few docile ish species. Euathlus sp. "Red" for example

YAY, whilst i cannot suggest which species you should and could keep in that aquarium, i can say well done on choosing the best family of fish going. Keyhole cichlids are not small, but they aren't the largest of cichlids. they are docile too.

pets at home strike again.. it's fun to ask questions that are simple as, and see how they answer. festivums are incredible- mine was so docile. seems that's not always the way

wow, 5 inches is huge. my wee keyhole is around 3 inches and around 4 years old. he was in a 4 foot tank until i had to sell/move the fish o: i can't see him growing much more. minnt- are Apistogramms not very commonplace in the uk trade? i've seen/found none in kent :(

yeah the likes of the acara etc was a short term thing whilst as something went wrong with a larger tank i had :( and keyholes are never that big ? i've been told they get a fraction the size in captivity, as their wild counterparts
