    I have a bunch of dalmation molly fry and both the parents are lyretail mollies- but none of the babies have a 'lyre' shape to their tails. They just have the normal rounded off tail of many wild fish. Does it take time? Or are these guys just a mashup of genes? Thanks!

    Man I'm so confused. I looked at dalmation platy pictures and they really do look like that. But could they actually be normal dalmation mollies born from a lyretail? Is that possible?

    Funny thing is, I only have guppies, mollies etc in my tank, no platies. However, the mollies are lyretails and I don't see any lyre on its tail. =/
