interesting. so basically a plakat is any betta with short fins? regardless of temperment.. then plakats can be broken down into other types like imbellis?

jungle fungus eliminator is what i use.. my sisters betta has had that problem 4 times... almost looks completely dead.. but the medicine works very well.. has cured him everytime.. i strongly recommend it

if i was you id take it back now, while you still have the chance to get something for it.. if your fish store has an exchange rate take it back and say its been fighting with ''the other fish in the tank'' and get something smaller that will live in a 20g

ill be honest.. the gravel is absolutely hilarious looking.. not my first choice in gravel.. but o well.. its the fish that count isnt it.. but hey.. you could always try sand some day
