Hi All I have 4 silver dollars in a 150 gallon tank. Two of them have taken to chasing each other around the tank and then shaking their bodies against one another. I am assuming this is a courtship ritual. Anybody else seen this or can enlighten me.

I agree with CFC, I have a central filter to 4 large tanks. I don't want to treat 450 gallons again.

I like the fact the main reason is that goldfish get a distorted view of reality!!! and secondary reason is filteration, etc

I've found the most dominant one tends to change colour the most. It's really shows if you stuff a large pellet in the tank and its being greedy chasing the others away.

I had exact problem with a hollow piece of driftwood and clown loach. At the time I had 4 of them. . I have since upped the number to 9 ( it's a 150 gallon tank ) and they never hide, safety in numbers I suppose.
