for my 75 gal i am using just plain old strip lights you would get in your kitchen or a classroom. they come in different lengths and they are pretty cheap to buy from places like Wickes and B&Q (UK stores) they work really well, all my plants are growing fine and the fish are happy :D

koi that only grew to about 6 inches would be good coz you could keep them in a tank then. or a bala shark mixed with a guppy, giving you a bala with a big fancy coloured tail :cool:

none of my old microprose games (transport tycoon, x-com, full throttle, etc...) work on XP coz these games were made before XP came out. i tried to run them in DOSprompt (called command prompt on XP) with the compatability set to 95 but it didn't work hope that helps :)

i am getting an Eheim classic external canister filter for my new 75gal, i will be positiong the filter under the tank. my question is, as the filter is about 4.5 feet below the water line of the tank, will it be able to pump the water back to the tank ok, and also where can i buy extra lengths...

i'm gonna put 5mm glass all round the inside surfaces and silicone between them ( as suggest by the custom tank bloke)

ive constructed the tank so that each edge of the front pane has 3 surfaces to bond to (on the back, side, and front) the farme at the front is double layer ply and theres a hell of a lot of screws holding the face of it in so the glass wil be pushing against the front of the frame... theres no...

its gonna be a 3 part program... one part will be an aquarium calculator for working out tank size, lighting requirements etc... there will be a calendar were you can make diary entries for a certain date, you can store the water parameters and write about how the tank is doing, what you done...

yeah i was gonna get a fluval 404 but its about 15" high and thats a good 3 inches to tall i'm looking at about 9"-10" clearance at the top.

hi, i am near the end of my custom tank project and i only just came across the discovery that there is not enough clearance at the top to get a big enough filter in. my question is, would a under gravel filter work in it ok? the base of the tank is 53.5" x 11" so i dunno if that is a decent...

i had to euthanize one of my mollies... but i but it in a bowl and threw a few disolvable headache tablets and hes just swam around and they eventually stopped and that was it... painless, also played a bit of radiohead - street spirit to set the mood
