the floss is green anyway so that isnt because of the water... quite misleading actually. how often do you think i should do the water changes and how much each time? seriously wanna get clear water asap! lol

the filter i have clips onto to the top of the tank and hangs outside (marina slim s15) so the water comes out of it onto the surface.. currently on the medium setting so not that powerful coming out really. did a very large water change today as well as per the above. if it is a bacteria...

yep have done plenty of water changes... hoping it will clear asap as been like this for around a week now!

do you know of anything i could go to help the situation at all? its even to the point where id clean all the plant leaves, then within a few hours they are back covered again with all the random particles. im even thinking of maybe changing to gravel instead.

not sure whether this is a problem with sand or not, but been suffering lately with slightly cloudy water... so did a few water changes and this made no difference. on closer inspection, looking into the tank i can see lots and lots of tiny particles constantly floating around the tank, causing...

i have the api 5 in 1 test strips, and these come back with no2 and no3 both zero, ph around 7. i thought this test system would be fine to check everything? its a 60 litre tank with the 3 catfish, 11 neons and 3 mollies got a photo, not a very good one at the moment as its the other catfish...

ill and get one now if they can stay still!

hi all, i have 3 cory catfish (1 three lined and 2 leopard style) in my tank, and just noticed today they all have little red marks near their tails and a little on the underbelly as well. ph is fine and nitrites all zero so the water is fine. is this a infection of some kind or is it normal...

that tank is wonderful! im going to be getting a tank soon and want to get a look sort of like that... is the substrate a mixture of sand and gravel? im new to this so want to make sure i get the correct information etc :rolleyes:
