if u use live blood worms the bag they are in is very red, so i always drain them would this not be wise with frozen ones or is the "blood" water ok ben

i have frozen cubes of bloodworms. should these be put in the tank frozen or run undertap to defrost any advice please. ben

In the gravel lives the bacteria which helps get rid of the amonia. If cleaning with a syphon in the gravel would this not remove this bacteria. Also when changing water weekly should you just change the water or syphon into the gravel each time etc.

how often normally would you expect to do a water change (how much) oand how often clean the filter etc. As i say ive had a tank for 4 yrs no real probs (the 4" plec is about 3yrs old same tank etc)

ive had the tank for about 4 yrs ive been water changing 1/5 everynight i do use the chlorine treatment (how would i have killed off the bacteria) also i added amolock which was said to stop the ammonia being dangerous.
