I personally would say this is not a problem as once you add your fish they will need the oxygen. Also it helps the plants to grow better

when i do a water change in my tank i refill it with natural spring bottled water. also when you wash out the filter pads in your filter wash them in the water that you syphon off from your tank never rinse it under the tap

I forgot to ask does anyone know what i can seal plaster of paris with to prevent it from corroding while it is in the tank
