  Not in a 75 gallon. Maybe in a 120 gallon, but you'll need to have them divided (until they want to breed), or have a lot of hiding places for your female. Flowerhorns don't make good tankmates, even with other flowerhorns, due to their aggression.

Another morning update: The fry are starting to jump/wiggle around a lot more, and the parents have relocated them to a larger/wider pit they dug. The pit also happens to be directly under my java fern, which is now uprooted. Guess the roots will help serve as shelter and security.   Will update...

  Plants don't hurt, but most people keep FHs in bare bottom setups or very minimalistic scapes (just gravel or sand). Helps keep the water and tank as clean as possible. No tankmates, best kept as a solo show piece.

If you want a monster tank, I'd go for the 75 gal. It's large enough to have options, but a 120 long or 220 is what I'd personally go after. With a 75 you can keep some solo monsters like: ruby red spilo piranha, gold mac piranhas, black rhom (buy at juvie size), red wolf fish, gold wolf fish...
