I arrived home yesterday to find one of my guppies had got stuck in the filter and died. It's the smallest of gaps he managed to get stuck in, approx 0.5cm wide, 0.2cm high. I've read that you can cover the filter with stockings, but will it stop things like the bacteria growing?

I'm trying to work out what types my guppies are and was wondering if you guys could help. Rather than describe I took some photos All four Chips Fish Sink Swim & Chips My guesses are Sink - Blue Cobra(?) Guppy Swim - Red Fire Guppy Any advance on this? :D :-(

I've just got four guppies in my tank and one in particular (a red one with white belly) likes to follow/harass the yellow and blue one. It's like he's picking on the palest fish. Is he racist? ;)

Thanks for the replies. Thankfully the water is clearing somewhat now, and all four of the guppies are looking better. I spoke to someone who said the cloudiness was probably due to us adding the water from the shop to our water. I'll know not to do that in future :D
