I clean my tanks weekly. That includes Vacs, water changes every week about 30-40% and clean the algea on the glass with the Magnet brush!!. I just find it easy to do it every week so the tanks arent all that dirty. So its much easier than doing one big one every month or so!

I agree with dwarfs, Get a Scented candle, and crack a window :lol: The rooms never smell though!....If you keep your tanks in good shape there wont be need for any candles, thats just in my case. they will smell nuetral :P unless your talking about the food..... :crazy: :sick: boy do they...

Thanx for the reply. No there not full grown. There maybe an inch, inch and a half long, I think there MAX sixe is 2 or 3 inches when they reach adult hood. I am not going to add anymore fish though. As of right now am I overstocked? All the fish are an 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches long?

Prime, Amquel and other products that nuetralize ammonia like yours will mess up ammonia reading with liquid tests. So the readings your getting is most likely wrong. :) So I would not worry about it. I use Amquel so I use strips! :) HTH

Most likely its a bacterial bloom, thats the case 99% of the time. The only thing that is affective is just doing water changes every other day! Do 30% water changes everyother day and you will see improvment. The jungle clear stuff does not work I used it and so did many of my friends...its...

Have you had them for awhile or did you just get them? If you just got them they might just be shy and are afraid of eveything for the first weeks, mine took a while to adjust then they perked up and are always in your face :lol:. so if that is the case I would just wait on them for a while...

I have been wondering this all day. All my tanks produce green algea. It will grow like weeds if I did not have that algea magnet. Well anyway, Is algea a part or a sign of a healthy tank or is it just there? :rolleyes:

Green Tiger Barbs are not always green all of the time.. :) They very easily turn from green to black and both! It depends on there mood on what color they are. When there excited happy and having fun there green..when there upset or just hanging around lol there blackish green but mostly...
