I've considered tetras and tiger barbs - been advised against the barbs by someone. Any other ideas? I'd just like some really pretty fish that are fairly peppy. BTW, avoiding swordtails cuz my roommate's already got a swordtail tank. Thanks!

i've got 4 black mollies and 2 dwarf gouramis, and it appears one or two of the black mollies nips quite frequently at the big buys. Is this normal? He doesn't seem to be fighting back -just moves away. But I don't think they're sick either.

so i was thinking about putting mollies and gouramis together in my 20 gallon. Is this is good/bad match up? Also, I read that mollies might need a bit of salt to keep them healthy - is this necessary for the gourami; will it hurt the gouramis if there is salt in there? thanks for the help!
