mopst anything that is semi-aggresive or agressive as cichlids will eat the ghost shrimp it is good for there diet to have live food if you want to keep them as tank mates then i would not suggest putting them in with any of these choices sorry

there are acouple of zebras that grow to 4" you could also get yellow labs or even some snow whites these only grow to about 4"

a male cichlid will have none or maybe even one or to egg spots on its fin a female will have multiple egg spots on its fin what is male to female ratio?

sand will definetliy mees up uour filter with cichlids as they do love to dig however even putting in rocks they will still dig watch you cichlids when they dig down to the bottom of the tank i had one that messed himself up pretty good by attcaking his reflection at the bottom ended up...

a friend has some fire groumis and blue groumis in a 55 gal with a mixed amount of different tetras an eel and some bala sharks they seem to be content in this envirtoment have not yet seen them be aggressive towards ant of the other fish hope this helps good luck :D
