I have a 10 gal tank and i want to put sand for the substrate instead of the riverstone i have in their now. If i do use sand how do i clean the sand, and i currently have a whisper powerfilter, is it true that the whisper filter wont b good with the sand? :hyper:

Question on things people use for a base in their tank, like gravel, sand, etc. What other things can be used besides sand or gravel. If you do use sand how do u clean it, because if u use a vaccume wont it jus get sucked right out? because unlike gravel its way 2 light

Had the tank for about 2.5 months, had no other true casualties until this batch of 4 guppies, the 4th is still alive but still seems spastic, the tank has cycled and i will b off to my LFS tonight to get my water tested again. thank you guys
