Try just keeping a cup in your bettas tank for a few hours. I bet he'll explore! If he still hasn't gone in, drop some of his fave food into the cup to try and get him in- when he's chewing, gently scoop him up.

Hi, My friend just got a betta, and she is treating it horribly. He's in a 1 gallion tank, with un-heated, cold water, no filter, no plants, no nothing. Sumi, (the fish) is going to die soon. He has ich, fin rot, and is very lathargic. i tryed telling her about 1000 times, but she just scoffed...

My tank stinks to. Don't worry thats no problem. And the bubbles at the top of your tank our "Mating Bubbles"- most comenly refered to as Bubble Nests. Do you have a betta fish?

It's proboly best to use a betta one- I reccomend Betta Basic, it lowers the ph to .7, and other stuff like that :P

I am sorry to say that he died yesterday. I followed your advice and bought a treatment kit for ich, he reacted badly and died. Thankyou all for your help. I burried him ooutside in the garden. Here's what I wrote on a stone- R.I.P LUCY "Though Your body is gone, your soul shall live forever."...

well, techically it's not cycled, but my water Conditiner does that-- it's specially desighned to cycle a tank without a filter. He seems to do perfect on it. I mean he is 4, thats old. :blush:

okay, so mabey you have alphabettas. try this test to see. 1. hold mirror up. if they flare there alphas 2. let two females see each other note there reactions 3. stick your finger in the tank. tell me what they do. do this, then tell me and i will help you. For now keep them seperated Lia

If you don't want to buy a big thing, raie the temp of the water. If that doent work try salt. If that till dosent work try some sort of medico9ne. Good luck! :friends:

Thanks for the support. SO, he is lathargic, and has fin rot all over. Ha ton of ich( white spots). He won't eat, say hi, flare, or do anything that he ued to do. He is at 27 degrees c. thats like 80 degrees F. He was always so colouful, but now he is in pastel shades. His dark blue eyes are...
