My poor little otto is all red around his mouth, hes not really swimming around much. I have him in a tank with my Betta and a golden apple snail. Water stats were fine when I tested them 2 days ago.. from what I remember they were all 0 and the PH was 8 (PH from the tap is 8.5 in this area)

I dont the freeze dried stuffs much good, it hasnt really got anything beneficial in it and my fish dont seem to like it that much either, frozen is definately a better way to go, lives good too and the fish love it but with frozen there are no parasites etc

I think I actually bought that cube tank yesterday for £29 from p@h It comes with an adjustable light and built in moonlight, draw underneath and a filter its about 17l, black and looks really smart and modern :)

well he swims in all different angles, legs everywhere, then sometimes just floats down on his back and lays belly up but when i go to touch him hes fine, altho he generally doesn't do alot of swimming at all

It should be fine, it all depends on the temperament of the fish but generally platys are fine

yeah catching fry are a pain I caught mine at 6am before I had to go to work cos they all got out of the net, I was not impressed! I only used a net to catch them, they are quick but its not impossible, you'll just have to keep trying I've been told turning out the lights and shining a torch...
