no, no just I do and its a good way of telling whether they are still alive as in the morning you can see the whole of the bottom of the tank has been sifted by the shrimps during the night :rolleyes:

Well it didn't read 0,0,0 but it was the recommended level on the manual that came on my testing kit so I assumed all was well. I am removing the fish today and will cycle accordingly.

No I'm afraid not didn't put anything in apart from the de-chlorinator. Yes I bought the testing kit and tested before putting them in but was told the tablet testing kit I purchased wasn't as accurate as a liquid one, never the less the tablet testing showed up fine and all was well. I heard the fish like the tanning from the wood, apparently it wont harm them as it softens the water just doesn't look great on the eye.
